Philosophical interior design from architect Mauricio Arruda

This is the apartment of architect and product designer Mauricio Arruda, located in São Paulo, Brazil. A unique apartment in the 50 years with a philosophy. The architect has tried to change that Brazil has undergone 50 years from the economic, social and artistic fields, incorporate into the design of its interior.

Originally, the apartment is divided into different rooms. Mauricio has been reclassified by almost all the walls of the apartment with a living area 150m2 to break. Only the retaining walls needed for the structure were preserved. This decision stands for the unconventional nature of Brazil and allows lots of natural light to most areas of the apartment penetrates.

Interior Design

For the interior design, the architect made use of materials and finishes that were iconic in the 50s with a unique blend of furniture. The floor throughout the apartment is painted black and the walls are white, keeping the furniture to jump out. “This gives the room personality, variety and makes everything more interesting.” Thus, the talented architect.
What is very special about the interior design is that all furniture and accessories individually very different from each other, but still a nice whole in this beautiful apartment.
