Graux & Baeyens architects designed the Project House GS. An impressive 19th century corner building, located directly on the beach and overlooking the port city of Ghent in Belgium. The architects restored the original structure and gave it a contemporary look. The renovation project started with stripping the old house of all excess. The essence is preserved by means of the facade, the staircase and the roof.

The interior of the house is characterized by the contrast between old and new, where many black and white are used. In order to maximize the space, there is also elected for fixed custom cabinets. The layout is basically the same. Bedrooms are located on the ground floor and living area on the first floor. The kitchen and dining room occupy the highest level, which also provide access to a special patio.
