This extraordinary house of Philip & Leona Laurie Summer of downtown Los Angeles in California. Philip is a man of many talents. He currently designs audio equipment and things for the interior. He is also a traveling musician, an avid diver and an avid marathon runner. His partner is a public relations consultant Leona, an excellent cook and the managing editor for the music video news BestNewBands.com.
In total the house has a living area of 185m2. 7 Months ago the couple withdrew. Then it was not really habitable. But in seven months time, they have achieved quite a lot in the interior. They have created rooms, installed wood paneling, a beautiful wooden floors laid, walls painted and the stairs completely rebuilt.
The house contains much of the beautiful original industrial charm, like the wonderful ceilings with wood beams and brick walls. Moreover, they are the only ones in the complex with access to the roof, a roof garden that soon will be.
Besides their tribute to salvaged wood and materials, their entire house designed like a real open loft with minimal doors. Philip has 12 meters high bookcase designed, like the speakers that he also built from scratch. Clearly they have a lot of space. What’s really clever is that they do everything very neat and organized are held. You could say it’s a minimalist interior, but with the wood, the leather Eames Lounge Chair and soft vintage bank is still a warm ambience.
