This project by architects Felipe Hess & Renata Pedrosa involves the transform of an apartment of 140m2 with the original classification of three bedrooms, living room, kitchen and a laundry room in a modern loft with open spaces.
The original apartment was completely reversed to a block of three columns with the new format types.
The entire loft is a raw, industrial look. This is mainly due to the concrete walls and ceiling opened. During the destruction of the original room, original beams and slabs discovered. These have left them so. Some parts of the ceiling have large white areas. Along with the beautiful wooden floors offset the chilly atmosphere.
A central block was built to the intimate space (bedroom and bathroom) to separate the social space (kitchen and living room).
In the kitchen is an island made of concrete used for both bar and dining table is used. The owner is DJ for his hobby. Sometimes he turns into a real club, but often at home as he once again organizing a party. His collection of CDs and LPs to preserve, he has a large wooden bookcase to design in his hobby room. At an elevation of the 31st floor, he here also from a magnificent view over the skyline of Sao Paulo.
There are large industrial steel doors positioned between the bedroom and living room. If you want to create privacy, they can be closed, but left open to make spatial.
The bathroom in this house is an area that definitely needs to be discussed. Besides the part where the large concrete basin stands, a large glass block is placed where you can shower under both the two large rain showers, a nice bath can go into the free-standing bathtub.
