What is tadelakt?

Tadelakt is a centuries-old Moroccan who stuctechniek Yahoo applied to walls, floors and ornaments. The characteristic of tadelakt is that the surface of a limestone layer is compressed and brought to shine with one stone. By the compacted limestone layer with soap after editing, it is completely waterproof and it gets brighter. Because tadelakt fully waterproof, it is mainly used in bathrooms, toilets and kitchens. A well-made tadelakt stucco will never crack.

Of course tadelakt also a drawback: the application of tadelakt is often time consuming, with the result that there is a hefty price tag attached to it.
